About

Our Mission and Values

At Re:Build Oribi, we are driven by the belief that advanced materials should be affordable and accessible to all markets. We are enabling widespread adoption of advanced, lightweight materials for markets where historically it was cost-prohibitive. We combine advanced material science with proprietary automated manufacturing processes and engineering design expertise to deliver customized composite solutions that set the standard for quality & performance.

The Re:Build Way

Imagination sparked our belief that we could rekindle industrial America. Expertise fuels our process. But it’s the Re:Build Way that is indispensable to our success. It’s a set of 16 principles that guides our decision-making every day, especially when there are tough decisions to make.

Our Commitment to Quality

At Re:Build Oribi, our commitment to quality and operational excellence is the foundation of everything we do. Our rigorous planning and meticulous control measures guarantee that every part we produce meets or exceeds the highest quality standards and product specifications, even for the most demanding applications.

Our engineering and quality teams are dedicated to designing, developing, and delivering products that meet and surpass our customers’ expectations. Through continuous improvement and advanced manufacturing processes, we ensure unparalleled reliability and performance in every product.

ISO 9001:2015 Certified

Understanding the critical importance of quality assurance in the highly regulated military and industrial markets, our team excels in test planning, execution, and reporting, as well as tool and process validation. Our quality management system is certified to ISO 9001:2015 standards covering the design and manufacture of fiber-reinforced thermoplastic and thermoset composite components and assemblies.

Quality Management System

Our quality team is also responsible for building and maintaining the Re:Build Oribi Quality Management System (QMS) within which the Re:Build Oribi Product Development Process (PDP) functions. The framework for our design controls and configuration management processes is built into the QMS. The PDP provides guidance and best practices for tailoring those requirements to a variable landscape of development projects, industries, and client needs. The PDP also outlines how projects are managed, executed, and maintained for our customers, with the overall goal of ensuring product excellence while maintaining flexibility to meet our customers’ needs.

History

Oribi Manufacturing, LLC was founded by Jack Wilfley to redefine the composites industry with a focus on innovative automation. Starting small, the company quickly grew, securing significant contracts and expanding its manufacturing capabilities. Its acquisition by Re:Build Manufacturing has further supported Oribi’s commitment to advancing American manufacturing and lightweight materials technology.

2008

Oribi Manufacturing, LLC Established

Company founder, Jack Wilfley, saw a need for a different kind of company in the composites industry, one focused on serving a broader market through innovative automation processes. Thus began Oribi Manufacturing, LLC.

2011

Secured First U.S. Military Contract

Originally located inside a 100-year-old manufacturing building in Denver, CO, Oribi began with just one layup machine, making components for a high-performance military backpack. Eventually, with the addition of robots for trimming and processing, Oribi secured a contract with the U.S. military for mass-produced structural parts.

2016

Moved to New Manufacturing Facility

Oribi moved into a 50,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Denver, CO, with room for its quickly expanding capabilities, including eight layup machines and nine forming press. At this time, Oribi began adopting a new rapid consolidation system to minimize production times and optimize throughput.

2021

Oribi Acquired by Re:Build Manufacturing

Oribi was acquired by Re:Build Manufacturing, bringing renewed investment to the expansion of the American Manufacturing sector and advancement of lightweight material technology adoption.

2022

ISO 9001 Certification

Re:Build Oribi’s quality management system achieves ISO 9001 certification.
